Annie Lesser's Cocktails

The Perfection Manhattan, made these for the Mad Men season premier, and they were most definitely a hit.

This take on a perfect Manhattan requires the following:

1. Bourbon (I used Makers Mark)

2. Dry Vermouth

3. Sweet Vermouth

4. Absinthe (I used Mata Hari)

5. Blood Orange Bitters

6. Orange Peel

7. Maraschino Cherries

What you do:

I first twist the orange peel along the glass rim so it has a nice aroma the whole time. Add two ounces bourbon. A quarter of an ounce of sweet vermouth and a quarter of an ounce dry vermouth. An ounce of absinthe. Add dashes of blood orange bitters and a dash of maraschino cherry juice. Garnish with the orange peel twist and a maraschino cherry. PERFECTION!
